Còig play a set of high-energy jigs in Norris Point during Trails Tales Tunes 2016

Straight out of Cape Breton, Còig took Trails Tales Tunes 2016 by storm, lighting up the main stage at the Norris Point town hall two nights in a row with their high-energy celtic traditional tunes.

On Saturday morning, Reg Williams was kind enough to let us use his gorgeous grand piano to set up and film this session with Còig. Huge thanks to Reg, and to Shirley, Pat, Terry, and Wayne for helping us coordinate!

The tunes that Còig play in this set are:

Bathroom, Bar, and the Parking Meter – Darren McMullen
Nóra Críonna – traditional
Muineira de Casu – traditional
Ellen O’Grady – traditional
The Last Mile – Mark Stewart
Roddy MacDonald’s Fancy – Donald McLeod
