Gros Morne History: Where is this scene? (1866)

Musgrave monotint of Bonne Bay

In the summer of 1866, Frances Musgrave, sister of the Governor, sailed along the south and west coasts of the Island. Included in a series of monotint watercolours she painted is this view labelled simply “Bonne Bay”.

Another called “Entrance to Bonne Bay, Woody Point” is printed on the back cover of “The Good and Beautiful Bay”. These are the first known images of Bonne Bay. Bearing in mind that many of her works sacrificed visual accuracy for artistic licence, can anyone identify this scene?
