The Gros Morne Theatre Festival has launched forth in to their 21st season in Cow Head, NL, kicking off the summer with their production of As Loved Our Fathers (written by Tom Cahill), a story that looks at the “fierce political and religious conflict that divides a Newfoundland family in 1948, the critical year when the citizens choose between independence and confederation with Canada.”
As Loved Our Fathers opened on June 4 in the Warehouse Theatre in Cow Head, and continues until September (you can see performance times and buy tickets by clicking here). Newfoundland Vinyl – The Greatest Hits is the next show to open, opening on June 11 at 9pm in the Ethie Room of the Shallow Bay Motel (see showtimes and ticket information here).
The Gros Morne Theatre Festival continues until September 24. Check out the video above for some details, and for shows, performance times, and to buy tickets, check out their website at theatrenewfoundland.com.
