Hawksley Workman rings in autumn in Gros Morne

Hawksley Workman is known across Canada (and around the world) as an incredible singer, songwriter, and storyteller. In early October, Hawksley brought his large soul and voice to Gros Morne National Park to perform at the Three Bear Music Festival, and together with his band (Mr. Lonely, Brad Kilpatrick, and Derrick Brady) made some really powerful music to ring off the walls of St. Pat’s Church in Woody Point.

Following his performance in St. Pat’s, Hawksley brought his guitar on to the waters of Bonne Bay, when we brought him aboard the Blackawton Boat Tour for some sightseeing. While on board, Hawksley helped us ring in the fall season with a performance of Autumn’s Here from his album Lover/Fighter.

Stick around to the end of the video, when a whale surfaces near the boat and everybody gets very excited.

We have more sessions from the boat coming, including performances from Three Bear Music Festival performers Brianna Gosse and Green and Gold!

The Three Bear Music Festival happens in early October and is a project of Gros Morne Summer Music. Learn more at http://www.gmsm.ca.
