Ian Foster on the rocky beach at the SS Ethie site, performing Hannah

Ian Foster is a storyteller at heart. No matter if he’s playing a song or catching up with his audience between tunes, there’s a story running through every word. He’s famous for spending more┬átime preparing you for a song as he will playing the song, but that just makes every note and word of the song that much better.

In May 2015 we brought Ian down to the rocky beach at the site of the SS Ethie shipwreck to record his song Ethie. The experience was so cool and the backdrop so amazing that we couldn’t just walk away after recording one song. So Ian was gracious enough to climb down the rocky beach with us and record one more.

This is called Hannah.
