The Writers in the Wild hike is easily one of the highlights of the Writers at Woody Point festival. Created and led by Fred Sheppard, the hike brings participants along a trail in Gros Morne, with musical performances and readings at different points along the trail.
This year the hike brought us through the Lomond River Trail, and two of the musical guests were John K Samson and Christine Fellows. They performed at a clearing in the trail under a large tree. Totally amazing.
Here’s John K with harmonies from Christine, performing John’s new song Winter Wheat.
