Rob Tulk reads a new children’s story at the Bonne Bay Cottage Hospital

Poet, writer, and all-around lover of the outdoors Rob Tulk was the writer-in-residence at the Julia Ann Walsh Heritage Centre in Norris Point in the summer of 2015. At the end of the residency, Rob hosted A Night of Songs, Stories, Lies, and Laughs at the Heritage Centre (better known as the Bonne Bay Cottage Hospital). Rob brought together a group of singers and storytellers, including Anita Best, Zack Sacrey, and Stephen Rose.

Early in the evening, Rob shared a brand new children’s story called I Can’t Remember What This One’s Called. It’s his first children’s story, and he did a great job writing the entire piece in verse. Now I’m looking forward to seeing this illustrated and in print! (Nudge, nudge, Rob.)

Thanks to Gary Wilton and Voice of Bonne Bay (the community radio station in and around Bonne Bay) for recording and sharing the audio from the event!
